日本と同様、シンガポールにはブティック・ベーカリーが多い。ION OrchardのBread Societyは、購入したパンをロゴ入りの紙袋に入れてくれる。’日本人のパン職人’という構成がシンガポールで受けるようだ。Like Japan, Singapore offers a wide range of boutique bakeries. Bread Society, located at ION Orchard, uses a paper bag (with their logo) for takeaway customers. It seems that "Japanese bakers" are popular in Singapore.
さつまいもパンを試してみた。コンセプトは良いが、さつまいもが日本の芋ほどフレーバーがなく、素材次第でもっとおいしくなるはず。今後の商品展開に期待したい。
I sampled a sweet potato bread. The combination of sweet potato and sweetbread should work but I would have liked a richer flavour of sweet potato..
