おいしいロンドン－Back again

またロンドンに戻ってきた。オリンピックが終わってもまだ観光客がたくさん。
Back in London again. The city is still full of tourists even after the Olympics.

週末の散歩を兼ねて、前回発見したNotting HillのGranger & Coへ。結構早い時間だったが既に満席。なんとかカウンター席を確保。オレンジジュース・マシーンが面白い。
Granger & Co in Notting Hill was the destination for my usual weekend walk. It was still early in the morning but the shop was already full. Luckily I managed to secure a seat at the counter with a view of a hard working fresh orange juice machine.

朝食メニューはアボガドとライ・ブレッド。ライムを絞るとさらにおいしい。コリアンダー、ライム、アボガトが完璧に合っている。
Breakfast menu was avocado and coriandor on a rye bread. Lime add a perfect touch to the mix.

コーヒーもオーストラリア･レベル（イギリスよりオーストラリアの方がｺｰﾋｰがおいしい）で、コーヒーのみのティクアウェイ客がいるのも納得。The quality of coffee was similar to the one in Australia (coffee is much better in Australia than in England). I can see why there were many coffee takeaway customers as well.

新グルメ・エリア - Brookfield Place

シティ中心部のセントラル・パーク向かいにできたBrookfield Placeは新しいグルメｽﾎﾟｯﾄが一杯。Grilledのハンバーガーやカフェ、フードコート、バーやビストロなど用途に合わせて利用できる。
オフィス客に人気のフードコートはいつも一杯。Green Grocerのボリュームあるサラダがおいしい。

Brookfield Place, located across the road from the Central Park in the city, offers a range of gourmet options from casual but quality food court (cafe court) to Grill'd burger, cafe, bar and bistro. The cafe court is packed with officer workers during lunch hours. See this "manly" salad at Green Grocer!

数ヶ月前から少しづつ着々と新しいお店がオープンしているが、一番気になるのはPrint Hall.　すでにレストラン・バー部門は営業中だが１０月９日にベーカリー・カフェがオープンするらしい。
New places slowly have been added to the Brookfield place over the last several months. The next big thing would be Print Hall. Its restaurant and bar areas are already open for business and a bakery cafe will be opening soon (on 9 October 2012) according to its website. Watch the space.
