おいしいパン予備軍 － Lawley Bakery

SourdoughのRobさんのパンには決して敵わないが、次回のSoudoughまとめ買い購入のタイミングを外してしまい、緊急で2loafだけパンが必要になった。Sourdough のみの贅沢なパン生活を送っていたため、今さらスーパーの袋入りパンを食べる勇気はなく、Lawley Bakeryへ。

I must say, the quality is nowhere near Rob's sourdough, however I dashed to Lawley Bakery to get two loaves in between Rob's sourdough bulk order delivery. I realized that how spoiled I am with Rob's sourdough. There is no going back to a "plastic bread" sold at supermarkets.

Mt Lawleyの本店にしばらく行かない内に店内がすっかり改装され、常に溢りかえる客に対応できるシステムができあがっていた。Wembleyの支店は以前からこの新システムだったが、タイミングよく購入できる便利さと、昔ながらのベーカリー・カフェが工場のようになってしまった寂しさとで複雑な気分に。

Mt Lawley stored has been turned into a well organized, factory like system to deal with millions of customers (just like its Wembley store). It is a kind of a mixed feeling with convenience of the new system and lack of "good-old" feel that the old store had.

Ciabatta ($5)を購入し、次回のRobさんのパン購入まで凌ぐことに。Lawley bakeryはケーキも豊富で支店も多く、Jean-Claudeとともにパン予備軍として利用している。週末も開いているのは嬉しい。

Anyway, my turn came within a minute after I join a long queue. I bought Ciabatta ($5) to survive until Rob's next delivery. Lawley (along with Jean-Claude) is my "reserve" bakers. Lawlery Bakery (Mt lawley store) is open 7 days.
